Smart Categories

Sorts your library into what is actually worth reviewing, videos first because that is where the space is. Then screenshots, and photos you have never favourited, with you choosing how far back that reaches.

Swipe to review

Up to queue a deletion, sideways to move on, down for the grid. Nothing is removed until you commit the batch, and undo is always one tap away.

Clutter

The small stuff that accumulates invisibly: tiny images saved from messages, and videos only a second or two long.

Speed Round

Sixty seconds, as many decisions as you can make. It sounds like a gimmick and works like one of those timers that gets you to do the dishes.

Time Machine and Memory Rewind

Work backwards by year and month, or revisit what you shot on this day in previous years. Old photos are the easiest to judge.

Compare before you delete

Press and hold any group to open it full screen. Zoom into a face, swipe, and the same face is under your eye in the next frame at the same magnification. It is the only way to tell which of eleven near-identical shots has the eyes open.

Your photos never leave your phone.

Every bit of analysis (finding duplicates, spotting clutter, measuring how much space something takes) happens on your device, using Apple's own photo framework. There is no upload step, because there is nowhere to upload to.

Every feature works without paying. The free tier caps deletions at 50 a day and locks nothing. If you subscribe, it is because you have already been using the app, not because a wall appeared in front of you.

Can I get a photo back after deleting it?
Yes. PhotoCleaner asks iOS to delete, which moves items to your Recently Deleted album, where they stay for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently. Inside the app, deletions are queued rather than applied immediately, so you can undo before you commit a batch.
Does this free up space on iCloud too?
If you use iCloud Photos, deleting on your iPhone deletes across all your devices and from iCloud once the item leaves Recently Deleted. If you do not use iCloud Photos, the space is freed on this device.
What does the free tier actually include?
Every cleaning mode, capped at 50 deletions per day. Only deleting spends the allowance. Keeping a photo and swiping past it are free, and you can look through as much of your library as you like. The cap is on volume, not on features: nothing is locked away, and the allowance returns every day. Pro removes the cap.
Is there a free trial?
No, and there does not need to be. Every cleaning mode works without paying, for as long as you like. Both subscriptions bill from the moment you confirm the purchase.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. The app works offline, and your photos are never sent anywhere.
How do I cancel Pro?
Through Apple, not through us: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Which iPhones does it run on?
Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
