Smart Categories
Sorts your library into what is actually worth reviewing, videos first because that is where the space is: huge, large, medium and small. Then screenshots, and photos you have never favourited — with you choosing how far back that reaches, from six months to five years.
Duplicates, Similar Shots & Bursts
Three ways of having the same photo more than once: exact copies, near-identical shots of one moment, and rapid-fire sequences. Each group keeps the best and marks the rest, so you confirm rather than choose.
Compare before you delete
Press and hold any group to open it full screen. Zoom into a face, swipe, and the same face is under your eye in the next frame at the same magnification — which is the only way to tell which of eleven near-identical shots has the eyes open.
Clutter
The small stuff that accumulates invisibly: tiny images saved from messages, and videos only a second or two long. Rarely worth keeping, never worth hunting down by hand.
Speed Round
Sixty seconds, as many decisions as you can make. It sounds like a gimmick and works like one of those timers that gets you to finally do the dishes.

Every bit of analysis — finding duplicates, spotting clutter, measuring how much space something takes — happens on your device, using Apple's own photo framework. There is no upload step, because there is nowhere to upload to.

Can I get a photo back after deleting it?
Yes. PhotoCleaner asks iOS to delete, which moves items to your Recently Deleted album — they stay there for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently. Inside the app, deletions are queued rather than applied immediately, so you can undo before you commit a batch.
Does this free up space on iCloud too?
If you use iCloud Photos, deleting on your iPhone deletes across all your devices and from iCloud once the item leaves Recently Deleted. If you do not use iCloud Photos, the space is freed on this device.
What does the free tier actually include?
Every cleaning mode, capped at 50 photos per day. The cap is on volume, not on features — nothing is locked away, and the allowance returns every day. Pro removes the cap.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. The app works offline, and your photos are never sent anywhere.
How do I cancel Pro?
Through Apple, not through us: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
